How is technology used to enhance the students learning experience?
Mrs. Rasmussen and I will work together this year to become more knowledgeable and proficient in using the technology available to our students and to us as teachers. We will do demonstrations and group lessons using the Smart Boards and use individual computers in the library and Tech Center for the students to locate library books and resources, compose stories and report presentations, work on research projects, play educational games, go to teacher approved Internet web sites and more! A copy of the school’s Computer and Internet Usage Policy is being given to all parents. You are asked to read this yourself, talk it over with your children and send back the signed agreement. If the language is too detailled or complicated for your children, here is a simplified list of the rules for their use of computers at school, which you could share with them and which I will reinforce at school. 1. Students should only work on computers with permission from and supervision of their teachers.
