How is taking precalculus algebra online different from a traditional lecture class?

There are three modes of instructions for this class: 1) 10 minute videos presented by Professor Burger for each topic in the course. 2) Transcripts: a word by word written document recording the words used in each video, and 3) Notes: notes summarizing the major points of each mathematical concept. Transcripts of the lessons can be downloaded and printed out for reference. Homework problems on the lessons will be completed by students online. The format of the homework exercises is multiple choice. Completed exercises will be graded by the computer. Interaction with the instructor and other students will take place in an asynchronous discussion forum where students will post questions ( and answers!) several times a week. If this was a traditional lecture class, you would be meeting in a lecture room for four 50 minute periods per week and spending 7-10 hours per week outside of class on homework. This means that at a minimum you should be prepared to study precalculus algebra from 10
