How is TacFast a remedy for VAT abatement issues?
TacFast LocPlate products utilize polypropylene Hook Plates and Discs that when installed become a free-floating, modular substrate that is basically a new subfloor. As no attachment to the existing flooring is required, the LocPlate products can be installed directly over existing vinyl asbestos tiles (VAT) without the need to remove those tiles. The new surface products are attached to the LocPlate products using the mechanical fastening of hook and loop engagement. LocPlateproducts are warranted to last for 25 years. This will result in the replacement of the surface products only over the 25-year lifespan of the Hook Plates and Discs. The clean and easy replacement of the surfaces can take place without ever disturbing the VAT below the Hook Plates and Discs. After 25 years, should the Hook Plates and Discs require replacement, they can be easily lifted without distrubing the VAT below as they were never attached to the VAT.
