How is Summerland and Penticton B.C., to live?
I have many friends living in Penticton and Summerland. They moved 3 – 4 years ago from Vancouver and never wanted to return again. I go there every summer and never heard anyone of them complaining about anything. People are very friendly. The crime rate in Penticton is almost next to none. You might need a house alarm just for safety precautions. There are a lot of retired people living in Summerland. Casual life style, no smog at all, considered a “fun” place to live, active lifestyle, healthier people. I wouldn’t say cosmopolitan area but not that hickish either. When it is hot in summer it goes up to high the 40’s, wineries, orchards, tons of lakes, lots of summer fun, sandy beaches, beautiful scenery. Skiing in winter, mountain biking, camping in summer.
