How is StorPoint CD/T integrated in a tower?

Integrating the plug-in CD-ROM tower module, AXIS StorPoint CD/T, into a tower is as easy as integrating a CD-ROM drive. The form factor is the same, i.e. 5.25-inch half-height, as well as the connectors, described below: • The power connector is a standard PC 4-pin power connector (12/5 volts), which means that the power supply available in the CD-ROM tower can be used also to supply the CD-ROM server. • The SCSI connector is a standard 50-pin header connector . • The network connectors are placed on an external board, connected to the CD-ROM server via a ribbon cable. The board is intended to be mounted on the back of the CD-ROM tower, which means easy access of the network connectors.
