How is sterilization taken care of?
We know that you desire the highest standards of infection control and sterilization in a health care facility. We want you to know that our office complies with all government recommendations in the dental health profession, as they apply to our non-surgical specialty. Our office is governed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, the American Association of Orthodontists’ recommendations, and applicable city and county regulations. We heat sterilize all instruments and provide an individual sterile tray set-up for each patient. Our staff uses protective gloves, eyewear, and facemasks, as indicated, as well as proper hand-washing procedures. Environment surfaces are carefully disinfected, and we utilize a large number of disposable items for your protection, such as cups, tray covers, tooth brushes, etc. We comply with all county environmental standards, with professional removal of contaminated waste.
