Supportive care is crucial and the patient’s breathing and respiratory system must be closely monitored because patient’s can commonly experience breathing complications and have a hard time keeping themselves from choking. Physical therapy is essential in helping to prevent tendon and muscle contractions, as well as scoliosis. Bracing may also be necessary.
