How is solar energy turned into electricity?
A PV panel’s life force is made of solar cells. Here, the PV effect happen’s (note picture below.) A solar cell is a slab of silicon, housed in a transparent covering, that has an electrical contact point inside the silicon slab. As solar energy enters the slab, electron’s in the silicon are excited, and a current is created. DC (direct current) feeds through the live wire from the solar cell to an inverter, where the DC is converted to AC (alternating current), AC reigns the electricity to a managable voltage and amperage for all your household appliances to use.
