How is Social Studies content selected in grades 7-9?
Middle Level Social Studies is conceptually based, rather than content driven. That is, students receive instruction to help them develop their knowledge and skills related to specific concepts for each grade. And, while specific content is provided in the curriculum guides, teachers may adapt it to meet students interests, community situations or national and global events and issues.
