How is Sleep mode supported by EnterNet RA?
When the system goes into Sleep mode, EnterNet will first attempt to disconnect the connection. The PPPoE connection must be disconnected before the OS goes to sleep, because the networking hardware is deactivated during sleep mode. This was a major limitation with EnterNet Classic. Sleep mode was not supported, and the system could require a reboot if it went to sleep while connected. This has been resolved with the new EnterNet RA. Earlier versions of iMac hardware (bondi iMac, rev A) have some problems when Remote Access is put to sleep; the system is slow to respond to most actions after it awakens (this problem exists with modem connections as well as EnterNet RA). We recommend that the users of these machines either disconnect before entering sleep mode, or turn off sleep mode. You may also try upgrading the system firmware.
