How is silicon manufactured?
Silicon is manufactured through the process of Mettalurgical Grade Silicon, where by silicon is derived from silica through several manufacturing processes. Substances: silica, wood, charcoal and few other substances, have been placed in a furnace. The reactants are heated at high temperatures, until carbon electrodes reduce silica to form silicon. This product is then collected to be cooled.
