How is server sizing and scaling calculated?
There is no exact approach. Typically we take into account things like: · Tasks performed by staff · Number of users logged on at any one time · Making sure there is enough servers to take the load if one goes down · Server hardware (number of cores, memory, clock speed, etc) · Storage space will be determined on the operating system, applications, and storage management software used like VMware View Composer or Citrix Provisioning Server.
