Seagate RSS (now Certance) is owned by New SAC, a private corporation created by an investment group led by Silver Lake Partners and Texas Pacific Group in connection with the acquisition of the operating assets of Seagate Technology, Inc in November 2000. New SAC has ownership interest in Seagate Technology and Crystal Decisions (formerly known as Seagate Software). With the demand for removable storage growing at a rapid pace, Seagate RSS (now Certance) is poised for continued growth.
