How is RUDRA different from other Anti-virus Software which are already in the market?
Existing Anti-Virus software use a Signature Database to identify a virus. RUDRA does not use virus signature database or heuristics logic for identifying a virus. Since RUDRA does not use a signature database, it does not require periodic updates. The signature is a binary string in a particular sequence – this is unique to each virus. A signature based technology identifies the virus based on the presence of this string in an executable file. Once the string is found, the virus is identified and the software removes all traces of the virus in your system. As is obvious, signature based technology can identify a virus only after the virus has been trapped in the software company’s lab and researched, subsequently a patch is created for the software, tested and then released.
