How is Ride for Home different to the cycling event that was held before EastLink opened?

0

Ride for Home will deliver a vastly different cycling experience to the event on EastLink before the road opened in 2008. On that occasion, the ride was negatively impacted by the unexpectedly high number of participants (more than 45,000) who turned up on the day. The lessons have been learned and entrant numbers for Ride for Home will be tightly controlled through pre-registration. In addition, Ride for Home is being run by a completely different event organising team. We have however received extensive feedback from participants involved in the previous EastLink ride, and have structured plans to ensure this will be an enhanced cycling experience.
