How is Restylane® administered?
Restylane® is injected into the skin with a very fine needle. The gel then produces volume under the fine lines or wrinkles, lifting them up and smoothing them out. Restylane® can also be used to line or add volume to the lips. What can be treated? Specifically, Restylane® can be used to smooth contours and folds in the face, as well as fill in fine lines and wrinkles. It is also commonly used to line and shape the lips. The most common areas treated are the frown lines between the eyes, the nasolabial folds (the folds from the base of the nose to the angle of the mouth), and the lips. Is it painful? Most people tolerate the injections very well. A topical anesthetic is applied to areas prior to treatment.
