How is residence supervised?
Residence Services employs approximately 25 undergraduate student leaders as live-in Resident Advisors (RAs). These RAs develop a strong community on their floor or in their triad and are responsible for assisting students. RAs are on call on a rotating basis in their areas from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. weekdays, and 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. weekends. Two full-time professional Residence Life Coordinators live on campus and supervise the RA staff. They are responsible for the overall management of their area, respond to crisis situations and enforce standards of behaviour in residence based on the Residence Policies, Procedures and Conduct Guide. In addition, Mount Royal also has 24-hour campus security personnel and senior officers are always accessible should anything unforeseen arise.
