How is RCDC different from CRISP-on-the-Web?
Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects (CRISP) is the traditional NIH research project search tool. • CRISP currently does not provide any categorization information. RCDC is designed to categorize • CRISP currently does not produce data in table format. RCDC results are presented in table format. • CRISP includes data from other government agencies. RCDC includes only data from the NIH. • CRISP provides information on NIH research funded before FY 2007. • In 2009, the NIH will add a new version of CRISP-on-the-Web called RePORTER. The NIH recently launched a new website called RePORT (the Research Portfolio Online Reporting Tools). RePORT gives the public a single access point to quickly and easily find data. RCDC results tables are one of several features within the RePORT site. The new version of CRISP-on-the-Web, called RePORTER (RePORT Expenditures and Results), will also be a feature on the RePORT site. RePORTER will include RCDC categories and project listings.
