How is QTMS maintained and updated?
QTMS, like any other software product, is updated in versions. To date, there have been major version upgrades to the system annually. Most customer installations include a maintenance agreement and updates are provided as they are released. In general, new versions include new features/capabilities that have been requested by our existing client base. As with all of ReliaSoft’s products, each update is thoroughly tested before being released, including regression testing to assure compatibility with the previous version. Furthermore, and given the enterprise-wide reach of the product, we normally expect a client to have both a staging and a production environment for deployment of updates, to assure a smooth transition with no downtime.
