How is project effectiveness monitored and evaluated?
On-site evaluations are made annually to monitor the status of GHF sites and their funded preservation projects to measure their effectiveness. Bi-annual reporting to measure progress toward goals and budget compliance will be required. The Global Heritage Fund provides funding as a result of the Project Nominator successfully demonstrating the ability to accomplish the next phase of work. The GHF administers the distribution of allocated grant monies through close and ongoing contact with the recipient- a designated GHF Project Director . After initial approval of the project scope, budget and schedule, GHF continues to monitor projects through bi-annual reports and budgets from the Nominator in accordance with financial and milestone tracking. GHF has hired KPMG Global Grants, a highly-respected international accounting consultancy to provide audit and financial monitoring of Global Heritage Fund projects around the world.
