How is phonics taught with KinderLit books?
Each book allows for teacher-directed phonics lessons to sound out the words needed on the page for that day. As the teacher verbally stretches out the word to isolate each sound, the children respond with appropriate letters. The correct letters are written on the chalkboard for all to copy into their books. The children learn to associate letters with their corresponding sounds through this process.
