How is Pete handling being a single father?
Daly: I wish someone on the show would acknowledge how freaking awesome Pete is. He’s been an amazing father; he’s been a champ through this whole thing. He’s tried really hard to let Violet have her time and he’s been doing a good job. Violet is denying, or pushing off the idea, of being a mother, which seems odd. Granted, she’s been through a hell of a lot, but she’s also had a lot of time to heal. We owe the audience some kind of explanation of where that road goes. TVGuide.com: We’ve seen several skeletons come out of Pete’s closet. What will we see in the coming episodes? Daly: The beginning of this season was such a wonderful surprise for me. The writing was beautiful and it was great to be able to jump into that needy story line, with this window into Pete’s past, but it’s really going to be up to [executive producer] Shonda Rhimes and the other writers to see how much more of Pete’s past can support.
