How is PEER Servants funded?
PEER Servants depends on contributions from a variety of sources, including individual donors, churches, foundations, other organizations involved in micro-finance, and events that PEER Servants organizes, such as the Walk for Economic Empowerment. Since the work of PEER Servants is primarily done by volunteers, our mission can be accomplished with much less funding than organizations that depend on paid staff. The approximately 100 volunteers contribute thousands of hours of time to PEER Servants projects as well as paying most of their own expenses including the cost of travel in support of MFI partners. (PEER Servants is just beginning to add some paid staff, who are responsible to raise their own financial support.
