How is PeakTrace different to LongTrace?

0

The major difference is PeakTrace is a basecaller and trace processor while LongTrace is just a trace preprocessor for the KB basecaller. Because PeakTrace doesn’t need to interface with the KB basecaller we can support a much wider range of trace types from all ABI sequencers, including the ABI 377 and ABI 3700, sequencer for which KB has never been available. We have also recently added support for the MegaBACE sequencers. If you have traces collected on a sequencer that is supported by both LongTrace and PeakTrace (ie an ABI 3100, 3100 or 3730) then we suggest that you try both the PeakTrace and LongTrace online services and see which one you prefer.
