How is Pathfinder K-8 different from other Seattle Public Schools?
Pathfinder K-8 is different in many ways. For example, we are the only alternative school in West Seattle. We are the only K-8 school in West Seattle. We have looped and multi-aged classrooms, so students have the same teacher 2 years in a row. We are committed to expeditionary learning and environmental education. Finally, one thing that you will notice that is unusual is that all our teachers and even our principal (David) go by their first names.
