How is pastured poultry raised?
Pastured poultry are raised outdoors and eat fresh pasture. Up to 50% of the birds daily diet comes from the pasture itself: grasses and clover, bugs, and seeds. Small flocks are kept in bottomless shelters which protect the birds from predators while allowing the advantages of exercise, small groupings, fresh air and green forage. In addition to the pasture, poultry require supplemental grain. Our grain is locally sourced and infused with organic vitamins and minerals. No pesticides, chemicals, hormones, animal byproducts or antibiotics are ever used. Why is pastured poultry better for me?
