How is pasta made, and how is it manufactured? What different forms are available?

Pasta is made with flour and eggs, rolled, shaped, and dried. There are like a million ways to shape it and they all taste a little different and they all have different names (just when I think I have seen them all…). The best way to cook it is to make sure you have enough water at a full boil with plenty of salt. Cooking time varies with shape and volume so check it for texture. Reserve a little “pasta water” before you drain to rehydrate it so pasta sticks to sauces. Drain, rehydrate, sauce, eat, enjoy!!
