Osteopathy is regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). It is a criminal offence for someone to call themselves an osteopath without going through the correct training and being registered. The GOsC deal with all patient complaints and have the power to strike off an osteopath or recommend criminal proceedings, if required.
