The Sun Studio 10 compilers on the HPCVL Sunfire machines are capable of processing OpenMP directives. No special settings need to be specified in setup files to use this capability. It is just convenient to have the location of the compiler suite in the PATH variable. This location is presently (version 10): /opt/ss10/SUNWspro/bin.
