How is non-resident WHT deducted for equity holdings?

0

In relation to equity holdings within the Service, all non-resident WHT is deducted by the company’s share registry. We are simply advised of the amount and we report this on the Tax Reports. The amount that the share registry withholds is based upon the investor’s country of residence (as provided by the investor) and whether Australia has a DTA with the non-resident’s country of residence.
