How is NEPALA different than the other landowners groups?
One, the organizers are not being paid by the out of state producers to aggregate land for them. Two, the firm NEPALA has chosen to represent the landowners is comprised of local landowners and has over fifty years combined experience in natural gas exploration and production. Three, NEPALA’s representatives negotiate at “arms length” with multiple producers rather than restrict all member landowners to a “relationship” with one producer. Q: Who can join NEPALA? A: Any landowner in Pennsylvania or New York who has not signed a mineral lease, or a binding intent to sign a mineral lease, with a producer. Q: Are their any requirements? A: Landowners sign a letter of intent to join NEPALA and enter into a lease agent agreement. They also pay a $50 retainer which will be refunded against the $2.50 per acre lease structuring fee.
