Naturopathic doctors are registered and licensed through the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (AANP) upon successful completion of licensing examinations. Naturopathic medicine has been recently accepted under Alberta’s Health Professions Act. This positions NDs under the same provincial legislative body as medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists and other health care providers.
