How is my SleepSafe powered?
The biometric scanner is powered by a single 9V battery. There is no need to have a nearby plug or worry about what happens if you need access to your safe during a power failure. Battery life will vary with how much you use your safe, however with typical usage, you can expect the battery to last around one year. To ensure reliability, we recommend that the battery be changed when you change the batteries in your smoke detectors (when you change your clocks for daylights savings time twice a year).
