How is my English Language assessed for progression onto the Undergraduate Certificate Year?
You are not required to take an IELTS exam. We measure your English language ability with an internal assessment based on the English Speaking Union System (ESU). The ESU provides a scale from 0 to 9. 0 is a beginner in English, and 9 is a near-native speaker. To start the Undergraduate Certificate you need an ESU score of 5.0 (or the equivalent).
