Assimilation does not require muslims to be friendly with the locals but just try to be a law abiding citizen with cordial formal relations with people they deal with .How are Muslims living in many western countries for 3rd or 4th generation have managed it so successfully?So,it’s very much possible as in the past.

Immigration is not a problem for a Muslim for it means he is taking Islam with him to his new Country and if enough Muslims migrate they can turn it into a Muslim country. Assimilation however is not an option, a Muslim must remain Muslim and his first loyalty must be to Islam.
