How is musical ability factored into the admissions equation?
Members of the Music Department provide evaluations of live auditions and tapes for the Admissions Office. These evaluations serve as one of the many factors the Admissions Office considers in weighing the qualifications of an applicant. A high level of musical achievement will increase the chances of admission for a student who otherwise meets the University’s standards for admission.
