How is mediation with a Certified Mediator different than using an attorney?
Attorneys often use a “shuttle-style” approach where each party sits in a separate room with their attorney and the mediator goes back and forth. This process can be more contentious and can be lengthier, and each party pays for their attorney and 1/2 the cost of the mediator, so it can be much more expensive.
