How is mba related to Computer.Science & Information Tech.?

I have an MBA and I have worked in the tech field for 16 years…If you want to stay a techie your entire career then an MBA may be unecessary but what often happens is that as you gain experience you are called on to provide implementation input…IT policies, rollouts, what if scenarios…to give valuable input you need to really understand the business. An MBA will help you understand business and then you can integrate IT and business knowledge…this is valuable if you want to progress in your career. Having been in the IT field for awhile I found it got a little tiresome to constantly be required to update my skillset. Also, thinking about things in business terms…an employer can get the latest IT skills from new grads much cheaper than older workers…so what will distinguish you from a new grad? The ability to ingrate knowledge and actually know how to implement IT into an existing enterprise without reaking havoc within the organization…an MBA will help you do this. One go

The MBA degree was originally created because engineers working for companies were promoted to managerial positions, and often they did not know how to manage, although they were good engineers. Companies needed managers who could understand what the engineers were saying, and managers without engineering degrees often did not understand the engineers and their needs. Business schools responded by creating the MBA degree. It is a general degree designed to train student to enter any area of management. Most MBA programs accept students with any undergraduate degree. The MBA is in contrast to the MS degree which trains students to reach higher levels of knowledge in their specialty so that they can serve as better staff and researchers, with no intention of becoming high level managers. Consult the Official MBA Guide. It’s a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.),
