How is Mass Evacuation handled on campus?
• NC State does not have a campus-wide emergency evacuation plan at this time; • Testing possible methods of campus wide evacuations is in progress • Radio options are being tested for the capability to activate an alert across campus • To notify and communicate an emergency • To give instruction to select departments to evacuate • Individual facility evacuations can be triggered by pulling fire alarms • Shelter in place has been discussed with Housing • Wake Emergency states that in the event of a state emergency, we can expect to not see any county or state emergency response to our campus for 72 hours Top of Page
