How is Marijuana used for medicine purpose?
Marijuana possesses a multitude of medicinal traits and is, quite literally, a "wonder drug."The best thing is that since marijuana is less addictive than caffeine and is impossible to overdose on, those in need can use it, virtually, unlimitedly. Marijuana releases cannabinoids in the brain that temporarily interfere with pain receptors, resulting in one feeling far less pain than normal. This is especially helpful for those ailing from cancer, aids treatment, migraine, or multiple sclerosis, as well as other painful conditions. Marijuana is also the potential answer to anorexia since it greatly enhances appetite. Additionally, a recent Harvard University study revealed that "the active ingredient in marijuana, THC, cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread" (NowPublic). You don’t hear the anti-marijuana activists talk about that in their campaigns. Marijuana as the possible answer to cancer? wonder drug indeed.
