How is literacy taught at General Wolfe?
Primary Home Reading Program: Reach for the Stars! Students are encouraged to read for at least twenty minutes a night every night. Every morning you see a steady stream of primary students coming into the school library to return and check out new books to read. This is a very popular program and well supported program on the part of our teacher librarians, staff and parents. This is anekment of our school’s overall focus on literacy. The teaching staff has been involved in the district Literacy Programs sinc e 2002.
