How is light rail different from commuter rail (Sounder)?

0

Sounder trains are powered by diesel locomotives and operate on regular BNSF Railway Company tracks, along with freight and Amtrak trains, and have longer trains and fewer stations. Link light rail is a separate system that operates in its own track way and is powered by electricity from an overhead wire. Each Link vehicle is self-propelled and provides more frequent service than Sounder commuter rail. No other trains will operate on Link tracks.
