How is life in Colombia different from life in the U.S.?
In Colombia you enjoy simple things everyday like taking a bus ride, going to cook at the river, sitting outside and talking to your grandma for hours, listening to your uncles play guitars and sing. Most people can’t see how fortunate they are to be in the United States. This Country has the freedom and the life that we lack in countries like mine. What would you like people in the U.S. to know about your country? For most people Colombia is unknown territory, a land of myths, drug lords, guerrillas. But it is much more than that. Colombia is the land of emeralds, fruit, gold, roses, the best coffee in the world, beautiful women, and the legend of El Dorado. It is the land of the great writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Oh, and you can’t forget Shakira, who is my favorite singer.
