The Extrema Ratio blade lengths, as given on the website, are from the guard (or end of handle if no guard) to the blade tip. In other words, the full length of the blade. FYI: some States in determining lawful length will measure the blade as above: from guard to tip. Other States determine the lawful length with a measurement of just the sharpened length of the blade.
