How Is JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC Injectable Gel Different?
JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC Injectable Gel is available in two formulas: JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC Injectable Gel and JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC Injectable Gel, which is used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles. Both are formulated with the local anesthetic lidocaine to provide patients with a more comfortable injection experience. Lidocaine, which works by blocking pain signals at nerve endings in the skin, is used to numb and relieve pain and discomfort associated with a variety of cosmetic and medical treatments. JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC Injectable Gel contains 0.3 percent preservative-free lidocaine, which numbs the injection site within seconds, eliminating the need for additional anesthetic injections and thus reducing the overall time of the treatment.
