How is Jamerica different from other music festivals?
Its different for two reasons: First, Jamerica is different because it is not profit driven. Most proceeds are returned to the Jamerica fund where it is then used to pay volunteers and buy supplies to make next years Jamerica even better. Second, two stages are utilized so that when the feature band is setting up, the collaborative musicians can play. When the feature band is playing the collaboration stage is closed. This dual stage method offers the maximum amount of entertainment with the smallest interval of downtime.
