We have implemented a powerful, extensive and intensive media advertising program in our key markets to further enhance Brand Jamaica, which is very strong .We have developed a strong cooperative marketing with our partners who significantly boosted our relationships with tour operators and travel agents. All these together have helped us weather the storm. While Jamaica has been affected by the changes in the global financial landscape, the country has prepared itself in order not to be consumed by it. My guiding principle has been to mitigate the effects and defeat it. Some thought that we were in denial or just did not understand, but we decided that travel and tourism was a way of life that would remain. We are a very resilient people. We are not going to give up and we will not take defeat. A happy client is a returning client and Jamaica boasts a record in the region with a 46 percent return rate for visitors.
