How is it determined that a position requires a desk audit?
A decision to “desk audit” is based on a Classification Analyst’s review of the job description, organizational chart and other technical information provided by the Agency Personnel Office. A “desk audit” is conducted if the Analyst’s review discloses that the job information provided needs clarification, the classification being used or the duties described for the position do not appear to be consistent with the organization’s functions, or there is need to clarify job information that was provided by the Agency Personnel Office.
