The strength of the organization is derived from the more than 153,000 individual families who join their county Farm Bureau. The Iowa Farm Bureau comprises 100 county Farm Bureaus (Pottawattamie is divided into East and West). Each county has a board elected by its members, as well as various committees. Statewide, Iowa Farm Bureau is governed by an 11-member board of directors elected by delegates from each county Farm Bureau.
