How is HyperIP defined to an existing environment?
HyperIP WAN optimization virtual appliance runs on VMware and is defined as a gateway or proxy at the server level. It is assumed that all data passing between servers would want to be optimized. If there are particular applications on a server that do not need to be optimized, they can be filtered out by IP address, well known port, etc.
